Welcome to Ms. Renna’s 2nd Grade Class!
Welcome to the second grade! I am so excited to begin a new school year with
you all at Center School! Let me tell you a little about
myself. This is my forth year teaching second grade within the ORR school district. I began at RMS, filling a year-long second grade position, and at the end of the 2013-2014 school year, accepted a permanent position at Center school within the same grade. I am thrilled to be teaching in the Mattapoisett community!
Previous to my work at RMS, I taught Pre-K in Falmouth, MA for eight years. My
favorite color is green, my favorite subject is Science (especially Outer Space!), and my
favorite hobby is boating and swimming. I also love to dance and sing! This year will be a growing year for us all, and I’m looking
forward to getting to know all of you!
Second grade is going to be an adventure that will take us to new places as we
read interesting and exciting books, and become skilled authors as we write about our
favorite things. We are going to add things up, make things grow, learn about the
continents and find out about how other people live, too! We use technology everyday
with our chrome books, google accounts, and classroom Eno Board.
As you know, the beginning of the year is a time when students and teachers get
to know each other and start to put some routines in place. We will discuss rules and
expectations, and even form our own “Hopes and Dreams” for the year!
Please remember to have your child come to school every day with a snack, lunch or lunch money, as well as an independent reading book. Please also
consider donating classroom supplies such as tissues, paper towels, glue sticks, and
disinfectant wipes. With all of us working together, we are certain to provide a clean
and healthy environment for all students. Thank you in advance for any contributions.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me via email
at [email protected] or use the contact page. Thank you so much for your cooperation
and I look forward to a successful year!
Sincerely,
Ms. Renna
